We are looking for an experienced fractional Controller / CFO to help us scale a service-based business from $5M to $10M–$20M+ per year. This is not a basic bookkeeping role. We need someone who brings structure, forecasting, and financial leadership while staying hands-on with the numbers. Time Commitment: 15–20 hours per week to start Key Responsibilities: Month-end close and financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Payroll oversight and commission validation Cash flow forecasting (rolling 8–12 week model) Bank and credit card reconciliations Expense management and budget tracking Profit and expense forecasting Coordination with external accountant Standard controller-level responsibilities as we scale What We’re Looking For: Experience as a Controller or CFO for service-based or subscription-style businesses Strong with QuickBooks Online and financial modeling Comfortable managing cash flow and forecasting during growth Experience supporting leadership with financial insights, not just reports Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Nice to Have: Experience scaling businesses from $3M–$20M+ Familiarity with commission-based sales teams Experience building dashboards and forecasts for leadership teams Goal of the Role: Create clean books, predictable cash flow, and reliable financial insight so leadership can scale confidently.
