  • The role supports coordination between the Purchasing function and some Program
  • teams (Engineering / Manufacturing / Cost Engineering) to support Serial Life
  • Programs, programs that current are in production. This includes responsibility
  • of a dedicated perimeter, supporting the PPM during development by managing Cost
  • Collaboration of the Change Management Process with stakeholders (including
  • suppliers) through NA IT system
  •  
  • The mission is to connect internal and external partners to make Change
  • Management governance the quickest and most efficient (cost / technical change)
  • possible for the company.
  •  
  • This program buyer role will align to our regional NA structure and report to
  • the NA Cost Manager. This role is critical to improve efficiency and cost
  • control for programs during serial life production.
  •  
  • Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: 
  • * Manage changes during the evolution of the part from SOP through end of life
  • with focus on economic impact to the part and within program timing
  • * Lead negotiator on engineering changes with the supplier. Confirm supplier
  • cost and review cost and timing to ensure project targets are met or exceeded
  • * Lead liaison for the supplier on engineering changes, setup meetings with key
  • internal stakeholders and supplier on as needed basis to remove any
  • roadblocks

Expected Achievements include but not limited to

  • * Analyze supplier provided pictures and documentation. Interact with suppliers
  • to provide direct instructions and timely feedback
  • * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Purchasing and Program timing
  • deliverables are met
  • * Negotiate supplier's economic impacts
  • * Manage Cost Collaboration with supplier under timing constraint
  • * Achieve TPC target
  • * Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in perimeter of
  • responsibility
  • Qualifications
  • * Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a bachelor’s degree in business,
  • Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field
  • * Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or related field
  • * Proven ability to build and maintain strong regional and global relationships
  • * Must be well organized, self-motivated, capable of managing conflict and
  • resourceful when managing complex assignments
  • * Must be comfortable and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • * Results oriented and ability to lead cross-functional teams both regional and
  • globally
  • * Robust negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
  • * Robust communication skills required, must be comfortable interfacing with
  • all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

  • * Program Management Certification
  • * Engineering change management knowledge/experience
