  • Lago is looking for a Part-Time Operations Manager to support and manage day-to-day business operations for our growing networking and events-focused business. This role is ideal for someone with prior management experience who is highly detail-oriented, understands how individual tasks connect to larger operational goals, and communicates clearly and proactively.
  • The Operations Manager will take ownership of existing systems, manage team members, coordinate with external stakeholders, and ensure recurring events and operational workflows run smoothly. This is a long-term opportunity with the intention to scale into a full-time role as the business grows.

Schedule & Working Hours

  • Availability required: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM EST
  • Bonus availability: Wednesdays, 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM EST
  • Initial workload: 20 hours per week, with expectation to increase over time
  • Long-term intent: Grow into a full-time role
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee other team members on a daily basis.
  • Review team members’ work, provide feedback, and ensure accountability.
  • Maintain and update internal trackers and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with venues, sponsors, photographers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Make frequent outbound phone calls on behalf of the company.
  • Ensure recurring networking events are executed smoothly and consistently.
  • Learn and optimize existing operational systems and workflows.
  • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities within operations.
  • Take increasing ownership of operations as the business expands into new verticals.
  • Proven past management experience (required).
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and manage big-picture business operations.
  • Clear, responsive, and professional communicator (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable making frequent phone calls and acting as a representative of the company.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing teams and workflows.
  • Confident being the “face” of the company when communicating with partners and vendors.
