Job Overview
- We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and execution-driven Social Media Manager to own and grow our social presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. This role goes far beyond posting. You’ll be responsible for building and executing a thoughtful content calendar, creating compelling captions, identifying trends early, and helping grow reach, engagement, and conversions through smart, original content.
- You’ll work closely with the founders and brand team to turn existing assets (education, products, recipes, emails, videos, research, ideas) into high-performing social content—while also bringing fresh ideas to the table. If you love social strategy and daily execution, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Content & Strategy
- Own the social media content calendar across platforms
- Plan, schedule, and post daily content
- Develop platform-specific strategies for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (short & long-form), and Facebook
- Translate brand goals into clear content pillars (education, community, conversion, storytelling, trends)
- Identify and test trends, formats, hooks, and growth opportunities
- Think seasonally, culturally, and strategically about what to post and when
- Content Creation
- Write engaging, on-brand captions that drive saves, shares, clicks, and conversions
Create original social content using
- existing brand assets (videos, photos, graphics, emails, blogs, recipes)
- original ideas (hooks, scripts, carousel concepts, trend adaptations)
- Collaborate on Reels, TikToks, carousels, stories, and YouTube content
- Help ideate and execute UGC-style, founder-led, and community-driven content
- Growth & Optimization
- Understand and apply social media growth best practices across platforms
- Use data and insights to refine content strategy monthly
- Track performance and surface patterns: what’s working, what’s not, and why
- Optimize posting cadence, hooks, CTAs, captions, and formats
- Help manage and optimize tools like ManyChat for DM automation and conversion flows
- Community & Brand Presence
- Maintain a consistent, warm, intelligent brand voice
- Support community engagement through comments, DMs, and stories
- Collaborate with team members on launches, campaigns, and promotions

- 30 Day Goals
- Have complete ownership of social calendar, scheduling, posting
- Be able to plot out posts in advance and present to founders once a week
- Start to identify relevant trends and present them
- Create original content
- 90 Day Goals
- Pull data to showcase what is working and not working
- Create successful (will define together) original content based on shares, likes, engagement
- Be posting regularly on tiktok, instagram, youtube, facebook and start to identify how to use each platform in different ways
- Have a strong understanding of brand voice, ideas, concepts and strategy
Must-Have
- 2+ years experience managing social media for a brand, creator, or company
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
- Strong writing skills — captions matter here
- Experience with social growth tools and workflows (including ManyChat)
- Comfortable working with both strategy and daily execution
- Ability to take initiative, test ideas, and move quickly
- Organized, reliable, and proactive
- Would be great if you have experience and interest in wellness, health, lifestyle, or DTC brands
Nice-to-Have
- Experience repurposing long-form content into short-form
- Familiarity with analytics dashboards and reporting
- Basic video editing or comfort directing content creation
- Understanding of paid vs organic social (even if you don’t manage ads)
